(I've just got back to this) I intend bringing in:
\def\texinfoversion{2000-05-28.15}
obtained from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/texinfo.tex (I couldn't find the
file manual/texinfo.tex :-) The differences between it and the current
texinfo.tex (from makeinfo 4.0) are attatched.
Any problems?
