I am testing the CVS sources on RTEMS targets and
of the 3 I have tried to build, two have changed
object formats since binutils since 2.10. Specifically
m68k-rtems and i386-rtems are supposed to be ELF and
were so in binutils 2.10. In the CVS source I checked
out a couple of days ago, they are back to coff
per config.bfd, ld/configure.tgt, and gas/configure.in.
Is this an issue that the RTEMS patches that changed
most default formats to elf are actually on the binutils
2.10 branch?
I am happy to generate a patch to fix this but I am a bit
concerned about why it is needed and if something else
got broken at the same time.
Thanks.
