Productization is not considered a Bad Thing is it?  Wind River and
Cygnus productizes the GNU tool chain.  So do other companies when they
design a new CPU and the best way to get a toolchain is to hack
GCC+Binutils.  Often(sometimes) these companies also print out the GNU
documents to include as part of an SDK.  The fact it is the GNU toolchain
is fully told.
