Nick used something other than the README-maintainer-mode
recommended 000227 snapshots (it doesn't recommend that specific
version, just what's in the
ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/binutils directory) when
regenerating configure & Co. for the MMIX port. It seems other
people too don't use that version, as Andrew Cagney pointed out.
This leads me to thinking the 000227 snapshots are not what
we're supposed to use anymore.
Can we have an authoritative statement on what version to use?
A released version, perhaps?
