Actually, I got the attributions here slightly wrong.

Ed did some of the changes attributed to him, but another coworker
(Mark Hayter) did another chunk.  He doesn't yet have an assignment on
file, but the portion attributable to him (part of the tc-mips.c
change) seems small enough to be OK w/o assignment.  (I'm gonna try
get the paperwork done for him eventually, but that typically takes a
while.  8-)

Anyway, i'll fix the attribution at checkin time, once the change is
approved.
