ia64/opc-x test fails

Trying HJ's latest binutils which are based on CVS from 2002-04-08 I
get this failure in the gas testsuite on ia64:
Running /usr/src/packages/BUILD/binutils-2.12.90.0.4/gas/testsuite/gas/ia64/ia64.exp ...
FAIL: ia64 opc-x
The log file shows:

line " 6e: 6d 66 80 00 "
FAIL: ia64 opc-x
the difference is the "80" in the last line,
