No. Unfortunately, gcc-3.1/3.2 is known to miscompile my code, so I cannot
use it. As for binutils, 2.12.90.0.3 that I used before has the same segfault.
What version of binutils can you recommend for using with gcc-3.0.4 on
alpha linux?

In any case, linker shouldn't catch segfault ;-)
