In addition - I just checked dos2unix .... and I see this:
"The dos2unix utility converts characters in the DOS extended
character set to the corresponding ISO standard characters.
"
So this means that my problem still stands - and might not be a cr/lf issue-
Why is the produced S-record, have these DOS extended characters when
everything is being done on Linux (yes the tools were compiled on linux etc
- in fact we've compiled 3 different versions over time and all are doing
this), requiring me to get rid of thes DOS extended characters by running
DOS2UNIX ?
