I tested this with both --enable-shared and --disable-static on linux
(plus no options), and while all build ./libiberty.a and ./.libs, only
--enable-shared built ./.libs/*.o.  That kinda makes sense I suppose.

The problem I saw with mkstemps.o has gone away too.
