- Subject: problems with binutils 2.15 & x64
Hi, I am getting this from an AMD 64 machine running redhat 9, gcc 3.3.3, binutils
( well ld at least :-) ), 2.15.90.0.3
particletrack.o(.text+0x26d2): In function `oldpart_':
: relocation truncated to fit: R_X86_64_32S partx_
particletrack.o(.text+0x28b9): In function
`initparticles_':
: relocation truncated to fit: R_X86_64_32S partx_
particletrack.o(.text+0x28c1): In function
`initparticles_':
: additional relocation overflows omitted from the
output
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I have looked at the code, ( fortran, fairly basic ), and I cant se anything strange,
so it seem's it's related to gcc/linux/x64 now is this something known ?
If so I will save me the trouble of debugging, ( this is my first time on x64 ).
/ regards, Lars Segerlund.
