Hi Swami,
I just checked out the binutils sources from the CVS head and tried
build the tools for cr6-elf target.
I assume that you mean "cr16-elf" ...
But build failed with below error:

../../src/binutils/doc/binutils.texi:8: @include `bfdver.texi': No such
file or directory.
This file should be in the bfd/doc directory of your *build* tree (not
source tree). It is generated by the makefile in the bfd/doc directory.
Check to see if something went wrong with the build in this directory.
