I have applied the following to mainline, which fixes PR10704 and the wrong use of expression_and_evaluate I found in s_reloc. I don't think this is acceptable for a release, unless you don't care about ia64.

I'd like to know what do you prefer for the release.

Ideally it would be nice to revert PR2127 and fix ia64. But as you previously said, fixing ia64 is not
trivial. For the release I'd prefer not to wait indefinitely (I don't know wether someone is working on
the ia64 fix).


If I understand you, you don't like to just revert PR2127. I'm fine with that and if anyone fix the ia64
part, we could still create a 2.20.1
