- Subject: [PATCH ARM 0/6]: Architectural Extensions - Introduction
All,
This is the first email in a sequence of six patches which add support
for ARM architectural extensions.
The first patch in the sequence improves the infrastructure, and the
following five add a different architectural extension each time.
The extensions that will be added are (in order):
* MP Extensions ('mp')
* Security Extensions ('sec')
* OS Extensions ('os')
* Integer Divide Extensions ('idiv')
* Virtualization Extensions ('virt')
Some of these extensions already have partial support in the tools and
these patches just complete the implementation. Others add brand new
instructions to those accepted by gas.
In particular once these patches have been accepted gas and binutils
will support all the new instructions present in Cortex-A15.
Thanks,
Matt
