David used to have a m68k-coff-gdb prebuilt on his WWW site. I got as far as downloading it and getting memory dumps off a remote board via RS232 using it, but had problems continuing from breakpoints (same target worked fine using Sparc version of GDB 4.15). Real work unfortunately stopped me investigating further. I've probably still got a copy of the binary if it's no longer there (e-mail if you want a copy). It was built using cygwin b19. He did send me an e-mail describing how he built did it. If it's any use I can e-mail that to if reqd (all the steps may or may not still be valid on b20 - I never tried them so I cannot confirm one way or the other). cheers, Ian ---------- From: Erik Fosshaug To: crossgcc@cygnus.com Subject: gdb for m68k-coff target and win32 host anyone? Date: 24 November 1998 08:07 Hello, I've started using David Fiddes' gcc port for a m68k target with a win32 host. So far it looks really good. I have been looking for a prebuilt gdb for the same host/target configuration without any success. I haven't been able to configure gdb under cygwin b20 either. Does anyone have a working gdb I can use for target debugging via a serial line? I would be most thankful for any help on where I can find a prebuilt gdb or point-to-point instructions on how to configure and build gdb under cygwin b20.
