Trouble getting mailing list archives

Has anyone successfully fetched the mailing list archives?

I tried 'get crossgcc crossgcc.9809.gz' but the server sent me an ASCII
mess rather than a proper binary attachment. Null characters lost, newlines
expanded, etc. My mail reader is Eudora on Win95.

Is there another way, or better yet an FTP download site?
