HELP : egcs-1.1.2->i586-pc-beos not supported? :-(

Hallo Gnu-friends,
I tried to setup the "egcs-1.1.2" compiler on my PC under BeOS 5.0 (great OS
!).
Host: PC PIII-500 OS: BeOS5.0
Target: h8300-Hitachi-hms
It was no problem to build and compile the "binutils-2.9.5", therefore I was
realy wondering that
after  I started the configure script of the "egcs-1.1.2" I got the message
that the i586-pc-beos is not supported.

Does someone of you know how I can fix that problem? (please..........)
