> Hello, > has anybody tried to crosscompile SysVinit and succeeded? Yes, but I remember it was tricky, and I do remember simular error messages as you report. I don't rememeber how I solved it, and I can't access the 'patched' code I used. (It's on an other machine, and I may have deleted it) I was cross compiling on a WinNT4 with cygwin-B20.1 gcc-2.95.? binutils-2.9.5.? compiling to a Linux-pc-i586-gnu system. I think I did a very dirty hack in the code somewhere, but I can't remember totaly. What I do remember, is that I had a serios problem when installing it on the linux computer. There was no error messages and I think started, but it didn't even read the inittab file. I even tried with the debug flag turned on, but that didn't help me much either. I resigned at this stage.... :-( I'll check for the hacked code on my machine when I get back to it on Thursday, but I might have deleted it. Good luck, Øystein ------ Want more information?
