Yes, it claims that on the 1st page. But read on to 1.2.1 "G2 Core", 
1st sentence.

According to MPC8260UM/D Rev.0, there are some leftovers still available,
i.e. 32 FPRs, which can be accessed if MSR[FP] = 1 via FP load & store
instructions. "No arithmetic instructions are supported in
hardware". The FPRs may be used "for systems that require emulation of FP
instructions and for increasing data throughput".
