Hi all, Still trying to build that cross-compiler PREFIX=c:/gccm68k TARGET=m68k-coff HOST=i686-pc-cygwin32 Now that I have a greater understanding of how the wheel works I feel slightly less need to reinvent it (even if it is fun :-) so I've switched to using the build-crossgcc script. I've now set my prefix to c:\gccm68k and everything is proceeding much more smoothly. I've also added the acgeneral.m4 patch and updated my cygwin installation. I have had to hack the script and insert --host=$HOST at various places, with HOST=i686-pc-cygwin32 to get around the i1586 problem. Ross Smith suggests a possibly better workaround for this which I haven't tried. http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2001-04/msg00606.html Now I can successfully get someway into building newlib but it fails compling libm/math/k_standard.c with: as unrecognised option '-m68000' what has gone wrong and more importantly how do I fix it? > > Bruce: > > > Is /usr/local/m68k-coff/bin at the head of your PATH? > > b.g. > I'm sure that it was. Maybe there was some interference with other versions in cygwin. I just zapped cygwin and reinstalled. ============================================================================ Any opinions expressed in this e-mail are those of the individual and not necessarily those of Tyco Electronic Product Group.
