I am having problems building gcc-3.3.2 for ARM. This is the toolchain versions I am using:
binutils version=2.14; gcc version=3.3.2; newlib version=1.11.0;
and these are the instructions I have run:
mkdir build-binutils
cd build-binutils
../binutils-2.14/configure --target=arm-linux --prefix=/usr/local/arm --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu
I already replied once, suggesting you use target=arm-elf (the target name traditionally used with newlib). Did you try that?
What is the target environment you want to run in? Are you quite sure you want newlib? - Dan
