I tried to use crosstool ( 0.28-rc37 ) on an windows xp machine with cygwin (uname -a : CYGWIN_NT-5.1). I didn't use wget to download the sources because, i had them already on my system. I use the following sources ( all unpacked into the /usr/src directory ) : /usr/src/binutils-2.15 /usr/src/gcc-3.3.3 /usr/src/glibc-2.3.2 /usr/src/linux-2.4.29 I'm not sure if i need the linuxthread sources. But I put the tar archive into: /usr/local/tars/glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2.tar.bz2
According to the demo.sh and dat files, I wrote my own files: homag-linux.dat: > TARBALLS_DIR=/usr/local/tars > SRC_DIR=/usr/src > RESULT_TOP=/opt/crosstool > > BINUTILS_DIR=binutils-2.15 > GCC_DIR=gcc-3.3.3 > GLIBC_DIR=glibc-2.3.2 > GDB_DIR=gdb-6.1.1 > LINUX_DIR=linux-2.4.29 > GLIBCTHREADS_FILENAME=glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2 > > TARGET=i686-pc-linux-gnu > TARGETCFLAGS="-O" > GCC_LANGUAGES="c,c++" homag-linux.sh: > #!/bin/sh > set -ex > eval `cat homag-linux.dat` sh all.sh --notest
When I start the script it runs well but after a while the following error occurs:
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc sscanf.c -c -std=gnu99 -O -Wall -Winline -Wstrict-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -I../include -I. -I/usr/local/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/build-glibc/stdio-common -I.. -I../libio -I/usr/local/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc- 2.3.2/build-glibc -I../sysdeps/i386/elf -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386 -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/pthread -I../sysdeps/pthread -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix/sysv -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/i386/i686 -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/i386 -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386 -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux -I../sysdeps/gnu -I../sysdeps/unix/common -I../sysdeps/unix/mman -I../sysdeps/unix/inet -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv/i386 -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv -I../sysdeps/unix/i386 -I../sysdeps/unix -I../sysdeps/posix -I../sysdeps/i386/i686/fpu -I../sysdeps/i386/i686 -I../sysdeps/i386/i486 -I../sysdeps/i386/fpu -I../sysdeps/i386 -I../sysdeps/wordsize-32 -I../sysdeps/ieee754/ldbl-96 -I../sysdeps/ieee754/dbl-64 -I../sysdeps/ieee754/flt-32 -I../sysdeps/ieee754 -I../sysdeps/generic/elf -I../sysdeps/generic -nostdinc -isystem /opt/crosstool/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/lib /gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.3/include -isystem /opt/crosstool/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/i686-pc-linux-gnu/include -D_LIBC_REENTRANT -include ../include/libc-symbols.h -D_IO_MTSAFE_IO -o /usr/local/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/build-glibc/stdio-common/sscanf.o sscanf.c:31: warning: conflicting types for built-in function `sscanf' sscanf.c: In function `sscanf': sscanf.c:37: error: `va_start' used in function with fixed args ../stdio-common/_itoa.h: At top level: ../stdio-common/_itoa.h:40: warning: inlining failed in call to `_itoa_word' ../stdio-common/_itoa.h:76: warning: called from here make[2]: *** [/usr/local/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/build-glibc/stdio-common/sscanf.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-2.3.2/stdio-common' make[1]: *** [stdio-common/subdir_lib] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-2.3.2' make: *** [all] Error 2
I'm not sure if my proceeding is correct, or if the combination of the sources is critical or if there are other problems. I need some help. Do you have a hint for me?
Regards Friedhelm Wolf
