I have successfully used the toolchain to build a snapgear 3.2.0 + uClibc-0.9.28 kernel for the Linksys NSLU2, which uses an IXP420 ARM processor.
BTW, the GCC 4.0.1 compiler spewed *many* warnings while compiling the 2.6.x kernel.
I needed to modify some kernel source files to eliminate some errors in the code no longer tolerated by GCC. No big deal, just a bit time consuming.
None of this is in the patch (not appropriate), but I thought others might be interested.
I didn't fix most of the warnings ... but I hate code that generates warnings. Using -Werror should be a law ;-)
