Bleah. Sounds kind of hosed. (You're not overclocking, by any chance, are you?)

Also, if it helps, I really don't want to build a kernel. I basically
want just the bare minimum to be able to use this as a distcc node for a
computer with a GCC version similar to what is above (3.2.2).

cygwin makes a lousy distcc server, performance-wise... - Dan

Not overclocking, no... pretty much a stock Dell work machine. I'm sure cygwin is not anywhere close to native linux, but our main linux dev server gets hit from all sides when everyone is compiling. My machine, however, has a fairly light load. Also, I hope to extend this to do SPARC, as our Sun machine is achingly slow.

It's compiling on the managed mount now, we shall see.
