No, this is not possible with crosstool-NG. I don't even know whether this
is possible...

That would mean having a way to retrieve the C library configuration and
stuff from the existing sysroot, and this is no easy task (if at all
possible).

The buildroot guys had/have the same issue, and they make a lot of
pre-supposition when handling external toolchains. And I do not want to
reproduce that in crosstool-NG. I did not say they did it bad, I say I
think it would be bad to do so in crosstool-NG.
