Or it works because you're using an old version of ct-ng or
you're doing something else not documented in the MacOS howto.

Using mp-gcc was not intended.

But I doubt that mp-gcc45 selects ncurses from macports by default
without further settings.

Would you please "sudo port select gcc gcc-4.2" and try again
building kconfig?

Yann, is there a chance that you reapply my patches to kconfig?
