Re: Aspell review (was Re: Pending package status (14 Jul 2003))

WFM..

Actually, I *can* reproduce the problem with the binary aspell, but if I
rebuild it myself to debug, the problem goes away..

Interestingly, the way aspell displays the word it wants to change changes
too.. I'm WAGging that I'm linking to something Gareth wasn't linking to..
- possibly ncurses.

[...]

Just read Gareth's original mail and did a cygcheck on aspell.exe - that's
it: I'm linking to ncurses while he isn't. If Gareth agrees, I'd vote to
link to ncurses and try again: all you need to do is install ncurses and
rebuild. (WFM).

Elfyn, could you check the linked-to-ncurses versions available for
download (see below) to see if that fixes your problem?

Gareth, would you mind if aspell were linked to ncurses (I take from your
original mail that you wouldn't, but you're the maintainer ;)

PS: I haven't fixed the presence of the import & libtool library in the
libaspell package, nor have I patched the setup.hint file to reflect
the new dependency - I'd like to know Gareth's opinion first - after
all, I only maintain the dictionary :)
