-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
I would like to contribute GNU help2man to the Cygwin net distribution.
Due to a problem in the code for the NLS component (hacklocaledir.c), I
built this package WITHOUT NLS, through a configure flag. If anyone can
figure out how to get NLS working (see my response to Gerrit Haase a few
minutes ago) please post to the list.
This will become a build req for my proposed gtypist package, which is
held up due to this dependency (and assumption that it's already installed
on the system). I have used it for other things as well, such as making
a man page for tar.
The help2man package can be downloaded and installed through setup.exe at:
Or downloaded manually:
sdesc: "Creates man pages from program output"
ldesc: "Perl script that automatically creates man pages from the output
from a program's --help and --version options."
