FTP directory update

I have uploaded and reorganized the cygwin/xfree directory. Attached Readme
file explains what is available.

Of particular interest is drivers directory which
contains new versions of fxddx frame buffering and xfmap drivers from Dr.
Peter Busch.
xfmap device driver offers /dev/mem and /dev/iopl (which are missing
in Windows and Cygwin) features to X-server.

The X-server executables Xwin.exe and Xvfb (renamed to XNtUX) are still
buggy.

I split the XFree86 4.0 source base into various Bzip2 archives.
xc40-1.tar.bz2
contains only xc/programs and xc/programs/Xserver. This will allow me to
update
archive easily and have developers download only changes.

Similarly binary distribution is divided into 3 pieces. One contains only
executables and DLLs for users who do not want
libs and headers for development or have previous versions installed.

I will update links Cygwin/Xfree URL during next couple of days.

Suhaib
Below is the directory structure and what is available:

1) xc-4:

xc40-1.tar.bz2
xc40-2.tar.bz2
xc40-3.tar.bz2
xc40-4.tar.bz2

contains source code of XFree86 4.0 patched for Cygwin v-1.0 (B20.1 and
Development snapshots v 1.1 will work too)

To compile yourself you will need all of the above Bzip2 archives.

2) xc-4-binaries:

xfree86-bin.tar.bz2 (executables and DLLs from XFree86 4.0. Also contains
XWin.exe, DirectX based X-server - very buggy right now - and XntUx.exe
Xvfb based X-server which uses Peter Busch xfddx drivers. XntUx.exe may not work
properly on Windows 2000, at the moment)

xfree86-devel.tar.bz2 (libs and headers only from XFree86 4.0)

xfree86-fonts.tar.bz2 (Fonts from XFree86 4.0)

All of the above binaries support only Cygwin v 1.0 and Development Snapshots.

cygwin-xfree-x11r6.4-cygwin-B20.1.tar.bz2 (Only DLLs, xclients, libs and headers
for Cygwin B20.1 -- Xlibs will not work with Cygwin v 1.0 and higher.)

3) Drivers:
All the drivers were contributed by Dr. Peter Busch.

xfmap.tar.bz2 (xfmap device driver code and binary for XNtUx. It offers /dev/mem and /dev/iopl
UNIX like features, which are missing in Windows and Cygwin. You will need MSVC 6.0 if
you wish to compile yourself.)

ntux_ddx-03.tar.bz2 (ntux_ddx DLL for XNtUx code and binaries. this is a support driver
for XNtUx to provide framebuffering. You need MSVC 6.0 to compile the code.)

xfddx_3.tar.bz2	(XFDDX device driver code and binaries. It is Framebuffer device driver
for XNtUx.)

iopltest.tar.bz2 (Xfmap /dev/iopl Test utility code and binaries)

scrntest.tar.bz2 (Screen test utility to get framebuffer information - code and binaries).

4) xggi:

xggi-cygwin.tar.bz2 (XGGI - GGI based X-server - executable only. Read the README.FIRST
file in /pub/cygwin/xfree/xggi directory first.)

xggi-1.tar.bz2, xggi-2.tar.bz2, xggi-3.tar.bz2 (Source code to compile XGGI X-server).

5) contrib

Contains various contributed source code and binaries not directly related to
XFree86 code base, for example XGDI/XVNC X-server from Hans de Bok.
