failed to connect to X server 127.0.0.1:0.0

I compiled the interpreter "Yorick" on Windows NT using
cygwin 1.1.2 and X11R6.4. When I try the executable,
I get the error message
"failed to connect to X server 127.0.0.1:0.0".
I am using Exceed as the X server and I also tried the IP
address given in the Exceed log file. What is wrong?
