So, xfree86-4.0-Xwin.tar.bz2 includes the DirectX X/Server that should be
able to run in a window?  Cause without installing any of the contrib
X/Servers I always get a full screen mode by default.  If the DirectX
X/Server is included with xfree86-4.0-Xwin.tar.bz2, is there a setting that
I can change in startxwin.bat to run in a window?

I noticed that some mirror sites are kind of archiving old archives etc.

The X-server in contrb directory is something like MI/X, runs in
single window mode, and also slow like MI/X. It does work on Windows 98/95.
But is built from plain X11R6.3 and lacks a lot of features e.g.LBX.
However it is good enough for most work.
