[Fwd: Errors with xFree86]

Response from Ed Mullen to my first email on his request for help from
cygwin on xfree86.

Copied here for purposes of wider xfree86 mailing list.

Alfred,

Thanks for your help. Making this change seems to have improved things
quite a bit. I am only getting one error on the DOS screens now. It says
the following:

rxvt: can't load font "Lucida Console-12"

Do you happen to know the fix for this, or should I just submit the problem
to the mailing list?

Ed Mullen

Find attached one solution to your problem. It's not everything that you
want to
know but hope this is a start as its quite a recently asked question.

That means X-server is runing...
you need to edit /usr/X11R6/bin/startxwin.bat and remove /B you will find
for xterm etc. Windows 9x/ME does not accept /B option
for start, therefore xterm failed.
