Hello,
Have W2K with DHCP running the latest versions of Cygwin/XFree. [This
machine is called W2K below]
Have Ultra60 with Solaris 8.4 with full install. [This machine is called U60
below]
-I want to use dtlogin and CDE on W2K from U60. And have configured U60 to
answer XDMCP-queries from W2K.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
This works:
$[W2K] XWin -screen 0 800x600 &
$[W2K] xhost + &
$[U60] export DISPLAY=W2K:0
$[U60] xterm &
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------
This won't work:
$ XWin -screen 0 800x600x32 -from W2K -query U60 &
$ xhost + &
The error I get on W2K is:
Fatal server error:
XDMCP fatal error: Manager unwilling Host unwilling
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server
"127.0.0.1:0.0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
-To me this shows that the query from W2K is successful, but for whatever
reason it won't let U60 to start the session.
-I've been into the Xaccess and Xservers-files on both machines, but nothing
I do helps putting the "XDMCP fatal error: Manager unwilling Host unwilling"
error away.
-I will get a static IP for W2K now, but any other help with this would be
much appreciated.
Cheers,
Stefan Olsson, Adobe Systems
