Dear list:
I've just installed cygwin/xfree + xfce (from the contrib directory). After
some hamering, things almost work. However, I'm having problems closing
xterm and xfterm windows under xfce. When I hit the close window icon, the
application is terminated, but the window stays active. I'm thinking this
might be a problem with pthreads.
As you know, xfce requires <pthreads.dll>. However, the documentation does
not make clear which version is expected (pthreadGC.dll, pthreadGCE.dll,
pthreadVC.dll, pthreadVCE.dll, pthreadVSE.dll). Given the connection to
cygwin, I'm guessing either <pthreadGC.dll> or <pthreadGCE.dll>.
I thought I tried both (with the same results), but I'm going to try again,
more systematically. If anyone has a hint, I would be most grateful.
