Hello,
I am also receiving this error after installing XFree.
This is directly after a complete CYGWIN install, then download the X
.tgz files and following the
instructions in the User's Guide by Harold L. Hunt,II.
I double checked my path to insure that the correct extract is being
used (yes) and that all md5 sums matched (yes). I then tried to extract
the fonts manually (no errors) but still receive the error. This is on
a win98 laptop.
Any help/guidance/fixes is appreciated.
