startx crashes

I found a similar post on the mail-list, but don't find any answer.

xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
Next, I tried the steps mentioned in the mail-list:
uname -r report 1.3.2(0.39/3/2)
export PATH=/usr/X11R6/bin:$PATH
export DISPALY=127.0.0.0:0.0
xwin -screen 0 1024 768 -engine 4&
now a window shows up
xterm -e /usr/bin/bash&
$ xterm Xt error: Can't open display: 127.0.0.0:0.0
twm&
$ twm: unable to open display "127.0.0.0:0.0"
