Re: 4.1.0 Install Error: Corrupt extract_exe.bz2


Thanks for the inspiration, Harold. I deleted everything and started again, in
different directories.

It seems to be Netscape. IE downloaded extract.exe.bz2 as 118770 bytes,
leading to success. Netscape consistently downloaded the file as 119,233
bytes.

I still can't figure out why IE won't access an ftp:// URL (any ideas?), but I
was able to work around it by going to
http://mirrors.rcn.net/pub/sourceware/cygwin/xfree/xc-4-binaries/4.1.0/
and downloading from there.

So, thanks again and I think it's under control.
