Re: Problem with 2 IPs

Here we are...

OS Version: Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2
Querying devices using ioctl
lo: family=TCP/IP (0) addr=127.0.0.1
eth0: family=TCP/IP (0) addr=10.10.3.100

but actualy my main IP is 192.168.184.14 !!!

I am not using a Token ring though.
Someone asked me to change the routing table according to my
IP configuration. I have no clue why I should cope with this table since i
am afraid it's a binding
problem, not a routing problem...

I tried to see in depth what's going on...
Actually packets are sent through the correct IP...

D:\Network\Sniffer\WinDump>windump -n src 192.168.184.14 and dst
192.168.184.205
windump: listening on\Device\Packet_{3A98A0F1-A580-427F-8835-96545B91B723}
12:15:43.285133 arp who-has 192.168.184.205 tell 192.168.184.14
12:15:43.300499 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 7
12:15:43.939556 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 66
12:15:43.952719 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 29
12:15:45.951915 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 29
12:15:49.957661 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 29
12:15:57.959307 192.168.184.14.2079 > 192.168.184.205.177: udp 29

But the X server seems to use another IP...
Fatal server error:
XDMCP fatal error: Session failed Session 36 failed for display
10.10.3.100:0: Cannot open display

I tried hopelessy to export the class A display... no result obviously...
Making sure that Cygwin use the correct interface... i tried to ping and to
telnet to the machine...

it works fine...

I am sort of lost...
do you guys think it might be a Xfree86/Cygwin or a W2k bug?
