Hello all - any hints on my problems would be greatly appreciated!
I am using Win98 2ed, AMD K62-500, 256 MEG RAM.
I have installed Cygwin 1.3.3(?) successfully to c:\cygwin & it seems to be
working fine.
After downloading and extracting Cygwin/Xfree86 (4.1.0), and following the
Download and Set Up sections of the User Guide, I have had several
problems...
During installation, I got an error message saying "cygz.dll" is missing (I
have searched, and there is no cygz.dll on my HD). This was while
extracting postscript fonts.
Installation continued, and I extracted startup-scripts successfully.
However, when I opened startxwin.bat, I once again got the cygz.dll error.
The shells the .bat file attempted to open, but were not successful.
I believe I have followed the download and installation instructions
carefully. I have also searched the mailing list archives and FAQ with
little success. I realize this is a very "newbie" question - but I'm really
stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated!
