I have /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb linked to /etc/X11/xkb, which contains all
the keyboard description files. There's a xkbcomp.exe file there, which
works fine when run manually.
I have an /etc/X11/XF86Config file, which I copied from a working Linux box.
When I run the X server, using startx or startx -- +kb, the keyboard
doesn't get properly configured. xkbcomp doesn't seem to be run.
If I understood Alexander right, xkbcomp should be run automatically and
given the parameters found in XF86Config.
Any idea anyone ?
