i didn't realize from your initial mail that you were using -multiwindow.
unless i'm mistaken, if you were running emacs or xemacs inside a window
manager, C-Z or C-X-Z would minimize just that window. as far as
multiwindow mode goes, i don't know.
for me, Windows-M minimizes everything also. (running Win2k)
