xcalc glitches

Hi

xcalc occasionally doesn't see the X server:

>xcalc
Error: Can't open display: 127.0.0.1:0.0

It gives a warning when it opens correctly:

>xcalc
Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'Bitmap' conversion.

Why is this?

This is a fresh installation of Cygwin DLL 1.5.5-1 running on Windows 2000
SP4.
