running netscape fails to open

I connect to a unix host using ssh -X hostname.
When I issue the command xemacs& or emacs& it opens a window on my desktop.
but when I issue the command netscape I get the following error:

I tried also another x client (xwin32) and netscape worked fine. So this
appears to be a bug in cygwin-xfree.
Am I doing something wrong?
I run the latest version of cygwin.
