Sounds like the definition of a Bohr bug :)

Looks like i'm using the 1.5.22-11 DLL. I didn't see an option in the setup to use a different version... How would I go about doing that?

Please forgive me if I'm not posting this to the correct list...

I've just done a fresh install of Windows Vista Business Enterprise. For some reason, I cannot get the cygwin X server to start.

When I run either of the batch files in the subject, I get a popup message from the OS saying that "sh.exe has stopped working".

I could reproduce this error, then I straced it, then I changed to another DLL, then the error disappeared, then I switched back to the 1.5.22 DLL... and then the error *still* disappeared. From this time on I was totally unable to reproduce it. Go figure.
