Xwin freezes when moving window on Solaris 10 host

Hello!
I installed Cygwin (up to date as of now, ie. 2006-12-21) on a
Windows 2000 machine and use it to connect with Xwin to a Sun
Fire v245 machine running Solaris 10. On this machine, I login
as root (yes, bad) using Java Desktop System (JDS) 3.
I'm then running the "Solaris Registration Wizard". Whenever
I move a window of this app, Xwin completely freezes and
I have to kill Xwin.
Am I doing something wrong? If so, what can I do about it?
