JDE 1.9.4 Released

Version 1.9.4 of the Java Development Environment for Emacs
is available for download from

http://sunsite.auc.dk/jde/

The JDE is an Emacs Lisp package that provides a highly configurable
Emacs wrapper for command-line Java development tools, such as those
provided in JavaSoft's JDK. The JDE provides menu access to a Java
compiler, debugger, and API doc. The Emacs/JDE combination adds features
typically missing from command-line tools, including:

     syntax coloring
     auto indentation
     compile error to source links
     source-level debugging
     source code browsing

The JDE supports both Emacs (Unix and Windows versions) and XEmacs. It
is freely available under the GNU public license.

The new release includes the following changes:

- JDE now supports use of the Emacs Customization
feature to set JDE configuration variables.

- The JDE menu now has items for opening
customization buffers for the major groups
  of JDE variables.

- You can now display the JDE User's Guide from
  the JDE menu.

- The new jde-save-project command saves the current state
of all the JDE customization variables in the project
file for the current source buffer.

- jde-set-global-classpath replaces the jde-set-classpath
  command.

- Bug fixes in the jtags and jtags.csh result have eliminated
false tagging. Thanks to "Kent S. Gordon" <kgor@inetspace.com>
  for contributing the bug fixes.

- The JDE User's Guide has been extensively updated.
