Re: Bash pauses (again)


I think that I see the same thing when I start a shell from the 
Emacs editor. To get round the problem I  ALWAYS ensure that 
I never launch a cygwin shell when my CWD is at "c:/", or the 
root directory ("/"). Any other (sub)directory or drive it is
fine. This is the only startup location that gives me an effect
that you have described. It would appear that the start up
location is important - although I cannot explain why - I only
use it !!
