I built and installed texinfo-4.0 around Dec 31 with no problems.
I didn't have room to save the source but I don't remember doing
anything special.
I would only suggest that you extract all packages with WinZip
or some program that automatically converts all files into the
proper format. And... always use only... da da... text mounts.
Works for me ;-)
Of course, the problems you guys are seeing might be due to some
changes in Cygwin or newlib... for all I know.
