I just remembered that you asked that mail *not* be
directly sent to you.  Sorry for doing that - here's
the response to the listserv.

Well, you were right - I wasn't using the latest DLL. 
I mistakenly thought
that if you got cygwin-inst, the included DLL was the
same as the one that
you could get by just getting the DLL.  Entirely my
fault.

Now I am getting a different crash, this time in
CYGWIN1.DLL.  Still no
crash under strace or gdb for me, though.  Here is the
data:

RXVT caused an invalid page fault in
module CYGWIN1.DLL at 017f:61044bf2.
