openssh hangs in the background?

I saw mention of this problem a few weeks/months ago, but no mention of
how
to resolve it.

Under w2ksp1, cygwin 1.3.2-1, openssh-2.9p2, when I attempt to execute:

ssh -X -l cjp -f un gnome-terminal

... ssh goes into the background, but nothing happens. Here is the debug
output with "-v":

That's it. That's all I get.

The same thing occurs with "ssh -X -l cjp un gnome-terminal &".

The only way I can get it to work is to leave it foreground and minimize
the
calling xterm.

Any suggestions?
