Hi, My Version: CYGWIN_ME-4.90 DRAGON 1.3.13s (0.54/3/2) 20020705 16:31:22 i686 I just noticed an oddity with /dev/dsp. I am working on a package which is expecting to use /dev/dsp as it would in bsd or linux. The problem is that open() is no able to access it. This behaviour can be reproduced by issuing "cat /dev/dsp". The specific error I recieve with the program or the testcase is: /dev/dsp: Permission denied This condition was not present in 1.3.10. I have attached a strace of the testcase for your reference. Note that I have no audio inputs present on the machine which would keep the dsp constantly busy. Cheers, Nicholas __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Sign up for SBC Yahoo! Dial - First Month Free http://sbc.yahoo.com
